The Montessori Directress is trained to teach respect and positive values through the way they teach and by serving as a role model to the children. The Directress is trained to not only teach children to learn, but to also help children become independent, responsible, self-disciplined and cooperative. The teachers of our school are all Montessori trained ensuring hundreds of hours of training and instruction. Because of our high expectations, we have quality and tenured professionals, ensuring your child will receive a quality programme throughout the year.

In some schools, the teacher may be the center of the classroom, choosing the activities but here the child's will and ability to work is of utmost importance. The child does not become frustrated because they are forced to sit through something they are not ready for. This individual attention also allows the Directress to become more familiar with each child. Thus, the Directress understands the child more fully and is able to better provide for each individual child.

We also believe that children learn from other children, our classrooms combine older and younger students. This way students learn from their peers and respect their own and each other's ability to be a teacher as well as a student.

ABOUT THE DIRECTRESS: I am Gunjan Tibrawalla and Innocent Smiles is my "Yesterday's Dream Today's Reality". I always wanted to something in my life and my love for children motivated me to try and open a Montessori House of my own. I approached Indian Montessori Center which is affiliated to the London Montessori Center for my Montessori training. The teachers were very helpful and encouraged me to do the one year course without any hindrance, after which I got my degree. After finishing the course, there was no looking back and I opened my Montessori House on the 18th of January, 1995. My only aim is to provide proper guidance and knowledge to the little children and thus give them a solid foundation to move forward in life.
